The Roots & The Calling:
Born and raised in New England with deep roots in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, Steven Hodge serves his family and the city of Hartford, CT, with a heart for the people. A gifted singer, songwriter, and visionary leader, Steven’s life is a testament to the power of transformation. His musical palette was painted with the vibrant sounds of the 60s and 70s—from soul-stirring hymns to the rhythmic expression of R&B and Pop. These genres gave his soul a language before he knew the Word, but his heart was ultimately captured by the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Journey: A Collision of Grace:
The Spirit & Soul journey is the story of two worlds meeting: the secular and the sacred. Everything changed for Steven when a heart-to-heart encounter with Jesus Christ ignited his purpose and revealed God’s love language to him. This led him to write "Spirit" songs—melodies that speak directly to the Father—while maintaining the "Soul" of musically intricate storytelling. His ministry is defined by John 4:23-24; he lives by the motto that as the Father seeks true worshipers, He will always find Steven "Found Worshiping."
The Milestone & The Movement:
At 65 years old, Steven Hodge is entering his most prolific season yet. The release of Spirit & Soul II: Beyond Words is the convergence of his life's experiences. It is more than an album; it is a sacred archive of a father’s faith, a son’s legacy, and a testimony of grace.
